Campaign Story

My name is Rachel, and I have spina bifida. Spina bifida is a birth defect that affects my spina cord that comes with many challenges. I have been able to live a beautifully independent life due to my parents who adopted me and gave me the resources and tools to do that. I met my now husband a couple years ago and we are wanting to start a family. He has been my rock since we met and I know he’ll be an amazing father. Throughout my life, I have had numerous abdominal surgeries dealing with the hardships that come with having spina bifida. When it came down to wanting to have children and start a family, my doctors cautioned me on the high risks I would have with carrying my own child due to the amount of scar tissue I have from all the surgeries I’ve had to have. The risks were so big that they all strongly recommend I go the route of surrogacy.

I am asking for help with fertility and surrogacy costs. Any contribution big or small, means the world to us as we start this new path together to starting a family.
